A wire mill in Zhenglu, and nothing else.

XIANYU ALLOY draws precision alloy wire at Zhenglu, Tianning District, Changzhou — a town that has been making instrument materials and alloy wire for the Yangtze River Delta for a long time. Our business is one thing: turning alloy into wire that a customer can put straight onto a production line.

We are paid for the drawing, not for the metal.

We do not trade metal and we do not take positions on the nickel price. Material is bought against a confirmed order, priced from the published spot market, and drawn here. What we sell is the conversion: the passes, the anneals and the inspections that turn a rod into a specified wire.

That model keeps the quotation honest. Metal cost and conversion fee are shown on separate lines, and the customer can see which part of the price moves with the market and which part is process.

  • Only wire — no trading, no unrelated fabrication
  • Metal priced from the published spot market on the order date
  • Conversion fee quoted as a separate line item
  • Drawing, annealing and inspection carried out in one plant

From an alloy materials works to a fine-wire plant.

1990

Drawing starts at Zhenglu

The business traces back to the Wujin electronic alloy materials works at Zhenglu, which began drawing alloy wire in 1990 for the instrument and thermocouple sector of the Yangtze River Delta.

2012

Present company registered

The drawing operation was registered as a separate company, keeping the drawing floor, the staff and the specification knowledge of the original works.

Today

Six families, 0.025 – 6.00 mm

Pure nickel, Monel 400, constantan, manganin, copper-nickel resistance alloys and thermocouple wire, drawn from in-house melted stock, with export documentation prepared for overseas customers.

What is actually on the floor.

The list below is the installed equipment base, which supports an annual output above 100 tonnes. It is deliberately weighted towards fine-wire drawing: four fine drawing lines against one coarse and one intermediate line.

Installed equipment at XIANYU ALLOY
Process stage Equipment Units What it does
Melting Vacuum melting furnace 3 Alloy melting and composition adjustment before drawing
Drawing Coarse drawing machine 1 First reduction passes from rod
Drawing Intermediate drawing machine 1 Mid-range reduction
Drawing Fine drawing machine 4 Fine and ultra-fine passes down to 0.025 mm
Finishing Straightening machine 2 Straightness and coil set control
Heat treatment Box annealing furnace 3 Temper control for soft / half-hard / hard condition
Heat treatment Pit annealing furnace 1 Larger-batch and long-length annealing
Inspection Tensile testing machine 2 Tensile strength and elongation
Inspection Resistance-per-metre meter 1 Electrical resistance verification for resistance alloys
Packing Rewinding machine 1 Transfer to customer spools and coils

Equipment counts are as installed at the date of publication. Thermal EMF pairing and reference-grade calibration are carried out with partner laboratories rather than on site — see Quality & certification.
Drawing floor · Zhenglu

The town matters more than you might expect.

Zhenglu and the neighbouring townships form one of China's densest clusters of instrument-material and resistance-alloy producers. In practice that means dies, lubricants, spool makers and experienced drawing hands are all within a few kilometres — and it means our customers can measure us against the best plants in the cluster.

What we do — and what we decline.

We do

Drawing to specification

  • Round wire from 0.025 mm to 6.00 mm
  • Soft (M), half-hard (Y2) and hard (Y) tempers
  • Matched positive/negative thermocouple legs
  • Toll drawing — customer supplies the material
  • Non-standard diameters, spool sizes and labelling
We do not

Things outside the drawing floor

  • Metal trading or speculative stocking
  • Heavy commodity rod at tonnage scale — better served by a large mill
  • Assembled temperature sensors or finished instruments
  • Co-extruded or clad products

If your requirement is outside the list on the left, we will say so rather than quote for something we cannot hold to specification.

Tell us what you need drawn.

Send the grade, diameter, temper and quantity. If the specification is still open, describe the application and we will suggest a starting point.
